I would like to know if ii can sue my apartment complex?

I would like to know if I can sue my apartment complex for suspecting that a burglary may have occurred by inside personnel of the complex. When I first moved to the apartment I was assured that it was a secure and safe building. Since that time I have learned that the security cameras are not always working and the intercom system never works. There was no forced entry into my apt. And I also live on the sixth floor. The apt complex is stating that the burglars came onto my apt balcony by climbing off a common area That also has a balcony. This balcony or entrance is not a fire exit. My case is not the only case. The police says that this has happened six times in this complex and the scenarios are exactly the same. Top floor, apt right of the elevator, and maintenance working in a vacant apt on the floor. Even if the complex dismisses the idea of their personnel committing the crime, do I still have a claim with them stating that the burglars came from the common area balcony and did not take any measures to secure the entry after learning of the first six cases. Thank you,
