Stages of joining the army ?

not got around to going to the carrers office yet. can anyone tell me the keys stages you have to go through , time order if possible. all the way up to getting into basic training. i know i have to take a barb test .. interview and medical, what do they consist of, is the medical just filling out forms saying yes or no to question like , have u had asthma etc... how long is it from taking to barb test to sorting out the medical? this assuming the barb test is the first step and medical the last ? cheers
